Installer blocked by Windows Defender or antivirus
QClaw is new software with limited trust history β security software often flags it incorrectly. Temporarily disable your antivirus, complete the install, add QClaw to the exclusions list, then re-enable protection. Only download from claw.guanjia.qq.com to avoid actual security risks.
Mac shows "cannot be opened β unidentified developer"
Go to System Settings β Privacy & Security. Find the message about QClaw being blocked and click "Allow Anyway". Standard macOS behaviour for apps outside the App Store.
I don't have an invite code
QClaw is in invite-only beta. Apply at the official site, or follow the QClaw Tieba and Weibo super-topic for updates on open access periods.
QR code scan does nothing / keeps spinning
Most common causes: outdated WeChat (update to latest), unstable network (switch to WiFi, disable VPN), or a stuck QClaw session (restart QClaw and try again).
Binding succeeded but no messages appear in WeChat
QClaw connects through the Tencent PC Manager service channel β check whether WeChat's service messages are collapsed or filtered. Look for a "PC Manager" entry in your WeChat service notifications.
WeChat connection drops after working for a while
Check that QClaw is still running in the background (system tray on Windows, Dock on Mac). Closing the window does not quit the app β but quitting it does disconnect WeChat. Reopen QClaw; the connection usually restores automatically.
QClaw defaults to Google search and it doesn't work
Known issue. QClaw's foundation is the original OpenClaw framework, which was built for international environments. For now, explicitly specify the engine in your instruction: "Search Baidu forβ¦". Tencent is actively improving domestic integration in each update.
Task gets stuck and nothing happens
Usually caused by: a request that needs access to a blocked resource, instructions that are too vague, or a Skill error. Try breaking the task into smaller steps, or be more specific β include file paths, target formats, and expected outputs.
Someone said QClaw can send WeChat red packets automatically
This is false. A Tencent employee officially clarified this claim. PC WeChat does not support sending red packets at all β QClaw has no way to work around a feature that does not exist in the app.
