QClaw Skills Guide

Skills are QClaw's plugin system β€” install capability packs to give your assistant specialised abilities. Here is what they are and how to use them.

QClaw Guide Updated March 2026

// What are Skills?

Skills are installable capability packs that give QClaw specialised abilities beyond its defaults. Tencent hosts SkillHub β€” a curated marketplace with over 13,000 Skills, all security-scanned before listing. Installation happens through a conversation: copy a prompt, send it to QClaw, done.

How to install

  • Browse SkillHub (link on the official QClaw site)
  • Find a Skill you want β€” each listing has an "install prompt"
  • Copy the install prompt and paste it into QClaw (via WeChat or desktop)
  • QClaw installs the Skill automatically and confirms when ready
  • Invoke it by saying "Use [Skill name] to help me with…"
Find Skills Skill: Install the "Find Skills" Skill first β€” it lets QClaw recommend relevant Skills based on what you are trying to do. Good starting point for new users.

Security What to watch out for

SkillHub scans all Skills before listing, but a few precautions are still worth taking:

  • Only install from SkillHub β€” avoid Skills shared through unofficial channels
  • Check what permissions a Skill requests before installing
  • Be cautious with Skills that request access to password managers or sensitive directories
  • Periodically review your installed Skills and remove ones you no longer use
Raw OpenClaw Skills: The original OpenClaw ecosystem has Skills with security vulnerabilities including remote code execution. SkillHub filters most of these β€” stick to SkillHub for safety.
