WeChat integration Remote desktop control

Once WeChat is bound, QClaw responds to messages as if you were sitting at your desk. Common commands that work well out of the box:

  • "Search for [topic] and summarise the top 3 results"
  • "Open the file [filename] and give me a summary"
  • "Set a reminder for 3pm about [task]"
  • "Create a new folder on my desktop called [name]"
Pro tip: The more specific your instructions, the better the results. Include context like file paths, desired output format, or word count when relevant.

Skills Extending QClaw's capabilities

Skills are plug-in capability packs that give QClaw specialised abilities. The Skill marketplace supports Chinese-language search.

  • Productivity Skills: meeting summaries, email drafts, document templates
  • Writing Skills: WeChat articles, social copy, translation
  • Coding Skills: code review, bug hunting, script generation
  • Data Skills: spreadsheet processing, report generation

To install: go to the Skill marketplace, search by name or category, and click Install. Skills activate when you explicitly invoke them in a command: "Use [Skill name] to help me with..."

Safety config Setting boundaries

QClaw has significant system access. Before using it extensively, set behavioural rules in your SOUL.md file. Recommended defaults:

  • When uncertain, ask before acting β€” never assume
  • File deletions: move to Recycle Bin only, never permanent delete
  • Don't access directories outside your specified work folders
  • Don't send emails or messages without explicit confirmation
⚠️ QClaw has real file system access. Consider using it on a dedicated account or in a limited-permissions environment if you store sensitive data.

Common use cases What people actually use it for

  • File organisation: "Sort everything on my desktop into folders by project"
  • Writing assistance: "Draft a WeChat article about [topic] in a friendly tone, around 800 characters"
  • Research: "Find 5 recent articles about [topic] and pull out the key points"
